Canada is a Nordic country, and yes we dominate the field of snowmobile design and craftsmanship with BRP’s iconic Ski-doo, but if you visit a ski hill you’d never know Canada was in the snow game at all. Yet, there are a handful of great manufactures of skis in Canada. My favorite is Raccoon based out of Québec. They design and produce skis made with a Canadian maple core – so not only are their skis made in Canada, but they are also sourced from Canadian forests. Roccoon is associated with TreeCanada, so their operations are sustainable on the environmental front.
I personally ski with the L’empreite model, which is an all-mountain versatile ski.
